Repair Café  – Saturday, November 1st, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The Nith Valley Ecoboosters (NVEB) will be hosting a Repair Cafe on Saturday, November 1st, from 10:00 am to 1:00pm, at the Zion United Church fellowship hall, 215 Peel Street, New Hamburg.

A “Repair Cafe” is an event where you can bring broken appliances and items, and volunteer ‘fixers’ will walk you through repairing them. The NVEB’s Repair Cafe will have fixers for small household mechanical and woodworking repairs, mending for clothing, knit and crochet items, jewelry, and book repairs. Most materials, tools, and safety items will be provided by the Repair Cafe. However, if you have an item requiring specialized materials/tools, we encourage you to provide them yourself.

This in-person event is intended to reduce waste, pass on valuable skills, and foster community. There will also be refreshments and resources on repairs and sustainability.
